Gospel rapper Lecrae promises special album after Jordan River baptism

Celebrated gospel rapper Lecrae was baptized in Jordan River during his September visit to Israel.

The Coming Out rapper was immersed in Jordan River alongside other gospel hip hop artistes he traveled with despite having been baptized before.

Lecrae’s tweet of September 20, 2019, shows him being immersed into the sparkling water of Jordan River where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist too.

Shortly after the life-changing step, Lecrae said he was never the same person and so his music would also change a great deal.

“When you walk where God walks it brings a different view when you see it with your eyes. Today we got baptized in Jordan River where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. I was joking before I was immersed saying I would get a heart attack if a dive lands here,” he said, referring to Jesus’ baptism where a dove from heaven landed on his shoulder.

He was baptized on his confession that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Saviour, saying that he really felt immersed in the Lord rather than just the water.

The emcee further said he would not be the same artiste his fans knew, promising to do even more deep and convicting music.

“Can’t be baptized in the Jordan River and make the same old music. This new album is gonna be special,” tweeted Lecrae who dubbed the experience incredibly credible.

Lecrae posted another photo showing he visited Bethsaida where Jesus fed 5,000 men with two fish and five loaves of bread, a miracle documented by authors of the four synoptic gospels of Matthew, Luke, Mark, and John.
