Sam Shollei negotiates dowry for another woman after fallout with wife Gladys Shollei

Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Boss Shollei and husband of 26 years, former Standard Group CEO Sam Shollei are no longer an item.

The end of bliss for the popular and power couple was affirmed after Shollei went for a Kalenjin engagement ceremony (koito) for another woman Faith Rono.

Close family friends told Saasanews.co.ke that Shollei successfully negotiated dowry for Rono an employee of Standard Group on Friday, January 10, 2019, in Chepkorio village, Elgeyo Marakwet county.

Photos that circulated widely on social media sites proved Shollei and Rono are technically married, with an option of wedding as a formality.

Credible sources indicated Gladys and Shollei who have at least three children together successfully dissolved their marriage in court.

Rono who was first an intern at Standard Group Limited, Eldoret bureau meteorically rose through ranks of a reporter, senior reporter and corporate affairs boss at the country’s oldest media house under Shollei’s tenure.

“The two were close and it was just a matter of time that this would come to the public. Rono is brilliant and thorough in her work but the speed up the ladder would raise eyebrows of even the dumbest of them all,” said Rono’s former colleague.

The engagement of Shollei and Rono ignited heated discussions online but the unmoved lass, updated her Whatsapp profile picture with her new flame during the event, obviously fanning the gossipers fire.

The Woman Rep on the other hand was alleged to have pushed Shollei out of their Kitisuru home forcing the former CEO to move in with Rono in Lang’ata.

Recent developments are an open secret that the centre cannot hold for the two longtime couple that traversed the country together as Gladys sought the lucrative but ambiguous county women MP position.
Gladys and Sam own a modern home in Plateau, Uasin Gishu county where they do dairy and crop farming alongside rearing number of horses.

Kenyans online also accused Gladys of putting much of her time representing issues in parliament but leaving her home to fall apart but until she responds to the developments, these will just be people’s speculations.
